Meet Adam Pevney
Director of Land Acquisition, Ryan Companies US, Inc.
My name is Adam Pevney and I grew up in the Los Angeles area and am a California native. I went to college at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ to study real estate and obtain a bachelor's degree and afterwards to Texas A&M University, College Station to study architecture and construction management for my Master's Degree. Immediately after graduation from Texas, I went to work for a large public homebuilder - KB HOME and worked in the field building houses and all the land development work such as streets, sewer lines, water lines, curbs, sidewalks and streets. After spending a few years in the field building homes and land development infrastructure, I moved into the office to begin project management and entitlement roles for KB HOME. I then joined a larger developer to work for Brookfield Homes on a 2300 unit master planned community in Chula Vista to build on 500 acres for a 10 year build out. While at Brookfield Homes, I was purchasing for land development, processing entitlements and running day to day operations. Eventually in 2011, I navigated into the land acquisition department and began buying land to build homes on. In 2019, I pivoted to work for apartment developers and have been buying land for apartment developers in San Diego County and Southern California since 2019.
