Meet Moustafa "Moose" Kakur

Youth Consultant, Walk with Me Impact

Moustafa "Moose" Kakur, a San Diego native from La Jolla, was a fun-loving and outgoing teen. But in high school, experimenting with drugs led him down a dangerous path. After years of struggling with addiction, he nearly lost his life to an overdose and suffered a drug-induced stroke. Doctors told him he’d never walk again, but through determination and grace, he proved them wrong—though he still lives with partial paralysis. Now, Moose uses his story to educate and inspire others, spreading awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and the power of resilience.

Real power is knowing the truth and using it to protect yourself and your people. Stay alive. Stay aware.
