Seeing Yourself in College
This workshop is for you if:
You aspire to be a first-generation college student
You have questions about fitting in at college
You have questions about how you can succeed in college
Workshop details:
Historically students of color, low income, and/or with a diverse identity have been excluded from college education. Fortunately this is now changing as colleges work to create a more diverse student body that reflects society as a whole and supports historically nontraditional students. In this workshop Professor Miller will facilitate a talk with current USD undergraduate students about their preparation for college, their college experience, and their unique insights on college success. Including student voices in the conversation is an essential component for workshop attendees to see themselves as potential future college graduates as they navigate the pathways to a university degree.
