Workshop details:
If you're a first generation student whose goal is to move away from home for college but have some hesitation, this work shop could be for you! This workshop will go over the benefits of stepping out of your comfort zone and taking a risk. We will talk about how to maximize your time in college, how to set yourself up for success, and how to look for opportunities and resources.
Meet Kayla Mae Cuizon
Engineer, POWER Engineers
Kayla Mae Cuizon is originally from Oahu, HI and graduated from Portland State University with her bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and now works full time with POWER Engineers in San Diego. She will be going over her experiences of moving away for college as a first-generation student in a male dominated industry and discuss how that has impacted her experience as a college student transitioning into the work force.
